Plumbing almost done
Finally, I am nearing the end of the pluming work - I have the cold water on now but the hot leaks at the joint on the other side of the valve in the basement. I'll fix that leak another day.
As you can see above I have the vanity roughed in. The only leak I had upstairs was at the elbow from the hotwater supply so I had to redo it, finally using a new elbow. You might also note that the drain pipe between the vanity & main drain isn't yet installed, that was so I could work on the supply plumbing first. (didn't want to melt anything)
Above you can see the toilet closet elbow and the bathtub drain. I almost forgot to install my subfloor nailer when installing the supply plumbing like I had with the tub drain. At least I caught it in time. I have decided to extend the bathtub supply plugs up through the floor and I will do the same with the drain too.
Here is the main vent and soil pipe running parallel with the chimney. Note in the foreground I have stubbed out capped pipe for the shower so I can install the floor and wall plate before I get onto the shower sink.
As you can see I had to open up the wall to install the vanity drain, vent and the two supplies. Since the two supply pipes were so close I moved the hot water over a few inches. Note how close the drain is to the stud since I put it in the center of the vanity so the supplies had to got to the left of the drain but I kept them as close as possible to be near the center line.
